Pattern and Update #1
June 7, 2026
Hi everyone! I finally got to a point in my website where I can start posting regularly. Obviously, it still needs some work,
but now I can work on it on the side.
The current project I am working on is a filet crochet piece of the Last Supper. If you don't know what filet crochet
is, it's a closed and open mesh style of crocheting to acheive a pattern. Each square represents either an open mesh dc or a closed mesh dc.
For this project I used 1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc for the mesh. I am using size #10 crochet thread and a 1.10mm hook. I am not sure of my gauge, at the end I will probably
do a swatch test lol. this project is 151 stitches long, so I chained 302 + 3 for the starting dc. each double crochet starts with a ch 3, and works into the next stitch.
I do not work into the same stitch I chained in. I am working this project from top to bottom, instead of side to side. There is a total of 278 rows. I mark every 10 stitches in each row, + 11 at the end since the total stitch count is 151.
This helps me keep track of each stitch.
I am currently 46 rows in. I plan to do a weekly update showing the project, and updating my row count. In this post, I am attaching the pattern in case you would like to make one yourself, along with my current project!
Happy crafting everyone :D
